8 Brougham Terrace, West Derby Road, Liverpool - recognised as the earliest mosque in England, established by William Henry 'Abdullah' Quilliam, officially opened on 25th December 1889, however, accounts of worship and Muslim activity on the site pre-date this to 1887. There are also reports that prayers were performed at his house in Mount Vernon Street before this.
